The IP Net system is operated by the UMIP (The University of Manchester Intellectual Property Ltd) in the UK, in conjunction with Inventya and T2C Associates in Taiwan

UMIP also operates a novel world-wide technology knowledge network called the Knowledge Vine. This complements IP Net as a very powerful email based tool for seeking knowledge amongst peer professionals in the technology community
